In The Mountains

I'm testing my ability to upload a Choose Your Own Adventure type Story-Game.

The Intro:

For years, you’ve felt like you lost your sense of connection to nature.

Living in the city and working in a cubicle, you felt the need to get out and find yourself, so you joined this city slicker style mountain hiking tour.

From one day to the next, they'd take you along these mountain trails and let you find your way from one set of rustic looking cabins to another, where someone would be waiting with a fire and a warm meal.

It was normal to get separated from the other tourists, walking speeds and resting needs varying from one person to another. It was nothing to worry about, since the trails were clearly marked.

So, when the storm hit you didn’t worry much as you hid out under an overhang. But when the rain cleared, the damage was considerable and you couldn't find a trail marker to save your life.

It grew dark and cold and you started to worry about the battery in your flashlight.

Then you sigh lights over the next outcrop and you thought you’d found the next stop on your list - and none too soon, judging by the growling of bobcats off in the woods around you.

But who are these wonderful, enthusiastically hospitable women running it?

They aren’t involved with your tour group, that’s for sure.

It seems very fortunate, especially since those bobcats are getting closer.

What could go wrong?

Notes:

You'll probably need to play it a few times, maybe take a few notes, to get through the game.  I'm just playtesting it for my Patrons, so we'll see how hard it actually is.
